Pastoral Care
We Care for One Another
We take care of one another at Holy Comforter in concrete ways. We pray for each other, send cards on birthdays, share meals, call and visit one another, and bring comfort and help in times of need. Specific ministries include those listed below. If you feel called to be a part of a team, or if you have need of support, get in touch with the parish office at office@hoco.org or email or call the rector
Email Prayer Chain Group
We pray for each other. Many members of the congregation join in praying for those who seek prayer for themselves or for those they love.
Card Ministry
Parishioners send cards of love and encouragement to members of the congregation.
Meals Ministry
Meals Ministry (AKA the Casserole Brigade) feeds members of our community in times of need: new babies, illness, death, and personal or family crises.
Eucharistic Visitors
Eucharistic Visitors take Holy Communion after the Sunday service to those who request it. Eucharistic Visitors are confirmed members of The Episcopal Church and who have been trained in Safe Church practices. To request a visit or to become a Eucharistic Visitor, speak with the rector.
Annual Holiday Grief Workshop
Recognizing that grief can be accentuated during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, we offer a Holiday Grief Workshop each fall. This is a time to remember and honor our departed loved ones and to support one another through a challenging time.
