Stewardship

The people of Holy Comforter are generous in their giving to the mission and ministry of the Church. We imitate the generosity of a loving God when we open our hands - and our wallets - in love. We depend on the faithful pledges of members to pay our staff, operate our ministries, serve the communities around us, and maintain our facilities. 

We are blessed with a small endowment, a gift from the faithful of years past. We can tap into a portion of those funds for building repairs, enhancements, and other occasional needs. The endowment, however, is not large enough to live on and therefore our annual pledging and regular giving are vital. 

Each fall we celebrate a Season of Blessings when we reflect on the gifts we have received and the portion of those gifts we will give back to God through the ministry of this congregation. We gather the pledges with prayers of thanksgiving and, typically, a celebratory reception after church.
